6 Ways to Improve Your Morning Routine

Do you ever wake up and feel you have no energy? Not everyone wakes up ready to take on the day. It is common to feel very little motivation in the morning. So, what can you do to make your mornings turn into a productive day? Here are some tips.

Meditate

Start every morning with a 5-to-10-minute session of meditation. Doing so consistently and making it a part of your daily routine will help you feel more joyful. According to Psychology Today, meditation can reset your happiness set point and bring long-term happiness.*

A 2013 study published by the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health had 30 students measure their cortisol (stress hormone) levels. The study found that within only 4 days of meditation, their cortisol levels dropped significantly.

Meditating can also help you feel more energetic throughout the day and prevent the infamous mid-afternoon energy slump.*

Drink warm water with honey and lemon

Starting your day with a glass of warm water with honey and lemon can be tremendously beneficial for you.*

A study conducted by NCBI stated that this elixir was not just a myth and, in fact, was capable of helping people manage weight.

The high amount of vitamin C present in lemon combined with the soothing effects of honey is believed to people recover from a cough or cold. Vitamin C also helps stimulate the production of white blood cells, thus, making your immune system stronger.*

When you start your day with a glass of water, it also helps improve your digestive health.*

Stretch

Sleeping in one position for hours can tighten up your muscles and make them sore. Try out stretching exercises after you wake up to relax the tension from your body so that you feel lighter the rest of the day.

Studies have shown that stretching increases your flexibility and, with it, your range of motion. This also helps prevent injury.*

Eat a Good Breakfast

Unfortunately, the rush of life causes people to skip their breakfast often.

Breakfast has long been considered to be the most important meal of the day because it provides the energy and calories your body depends to run on all day.*

However, breakfast foods like donuts and sweet muffins are not the solution. For a productive day choose brown bread with peanut butter, eggs, rolled oats, or nutritious smoothies with superfood powders to provide the perfect amount of protein and calories.

Drink a cup of tea

Green tea has 10 times more antioxidants than fruits and veggies. This helps it fight off the free radical damage in your body.*

The caffeine present in tea can boost your energy levels and give you mental clarity. The amino acid called L-theanine present in tea also helps bring you a calming effect, so you get energy without the jitters.*

FeelGood Superfoods Matcha Tea Powder is a great way to enjoy the maximum benefits of green tea in the morning.

Listen to music

Integrate music into your morning routine to set a rhythm for the rest of your day.

Listening to the music you love raises your dopamine levels and can help you feel happy. What better way to start the day than on a positive note?

You can go on YouTube or Spotify and find the perfect playlist for your mood. You can also curate your own morning playlist with your favorite songs.
